A Name and a Blessing

Emerson was given his baby blessing on June 3, 2012. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, new infants are given a special priesthood blessing to officially receive their name.

D.J. gave the blessing, and Emerson's grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and great-uncle assisted him. The blessing was beautiful, and we are glad that some of our family was here to share it with us.

I forgot to blog about Elise's baby blessing in 2009, so here's a picture from her blessing day 3 years later. Her hair was so much darker than Emerson's is! 

We are so thankful for a husband and father who is a valiant priesthood holder!
